While traditional wastewater treatment processes are trapped in a vicious cycle of "efficiency vs. footprint," the Lamella Clarifier (Inclined Plate Settler) rewrites the physics of sedimentation. Application in Municipal Wastewater Treatment Process

Primary Sedimentation: Lamella-equipped primary settlers remove suspended solids more efficiently than traditional tanks, reducing land use by at least 60% while maximizing treatment capacity within a compact area.

Traditional Primary Tank: 90-minute retention, removes ~50% of suspended solids.

Lamella Primary Tank: 25-minute retention, removes over 65% of suspended solids.

Secondary Sedimentation (Crucial Application): Between the lamella plates, the Reynolds number (Re) is controlled to be < 500, maintaining ideal laminar flow and preventing short-circuiting. The sludge glide angle—achieved through a fixed plate inclination and smooth surface design—enables effective self-cleaning.

Tertiary Treatment: In chemical phosphorus removal mode, the combination of coagulants and the Lamella Clarifier can achieve a phosphorus removal rate exceeding 90%.
